Waterford – Police announced on Facebook Thursday that they plan to have additional evening patrols in targeted areas following continuing reports of groups of suspected burglars.

Police arrested a total of six people on Monday and Tuesday on charges related to the attempted thefts of motorcycles and ATVS from backyard sheds. Police were called out again at 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning when four men were spotted in the yard of a residence in the Boston Post Road and Ellen Ward Road area.

A resident of the house chased the men across Boston Post Road and into the yards of Fog Plain Road, police said in a statement. Police encourage residents to be alert, watch for any suspicious activity and call police immediately if they see something suspicious.
