I am a dedicated resident of the City of New London, who is proud to accept the recent nomination of the New London Democratic Town Committee to run for City Council. As a homeowner and mother of a special needs child, I am painfully aware of the toll the current financial crisis has taken on our city and its residents.

Our Public Works Department has been decimated and our schools continue to be underfunded due to budget constraints. In order for this city to prosper, we need to remember to put the needs of the people first.

My experience working with Congressman Sam Gejdenson, both in Connecticut and Washington, D.C., will allow me to help the city move in a positive direction by utilizing all available resources on state and federal levels to alleviate the financial burdens faced by the city at this time. As a part of a metrics based system in my recent management position, I was required to accomplish all deliverables while staying within a set budget. My ability to organize and prioritize tasks as well as work with a diverse group of individuals to accomplish a common goal will serve the city well.
