One killed in I-395 crash

Waterford — State police have confirmed at least one fatality as a result of a multi-vehicle crash Sunday night on Interstate 395.

Reported at about 7:50 p.m. on the southbound side of I-395, between exits 78 and 77, the state Department of Transportation said the accident closed the highway for four hours.

State police at Troop E in Montville have not yet released any details about the crash and said they are working to identify next of kin of the victim.
