A wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service expired at 4 p.m. with few major problems reported in the area. A wind advisory is issued when there are sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or gusts of 46 to 57 mph.

Earlier Friday, Connecticut Light & Power reported 765 customers in North Stonington were left in the dark when a tree knocked down power lines on Route 2. Power has since been restored to the area.

A downed tree Friday morning also blocked traffic on Whalehead Road in Gales Ferry. CL&P reported 84 customers in that town were temporarily without power. As of 4:30 p.m., less than 1 percent, or 432, of CL&P customers were without power.
