State police searching for missing East Lyme man

Police are seeking help from the public in locating a 48-year-old East Lyme man who has been missing since Nov. 8.

Police on Thursday issued a Silver Alert for Daniel Rick, who is white, 5-feet. 10-inches tall, weighs 165 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, jeans, a gold necklace and sneakers.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact state police in Montville at (860) 848-6500.

My Thanksgiving has been completely taken over by the ever-earlier Black Friday sales. My big meal will be looking more like a fast food burger in line outside of Best Buy than the traditional sit-down meals from days of ole.
