Having served as the secretary for the New London Democrats third district caucus on Jan. 7, I am writing to correct an inaccuracy reported in the article, "NL mayor left out of city Democrats' group," (Jan. 9), on the New London Democratic Town Committee nominations and elections.

Contrary to what was stated in the article, two slates of candidates were nominated for the 3rd district. A slate of 20 candidates was nominated by Michael Passero. A second slate of 8 candidates was nominated by John Satti. (Note: 12 of the intended second slate of 20 candidates were included in the first slate, therefore, the proposer did not repeat them in the second slate of candidates for nomination.)

Both Mayor Daryl Finizio and Jane Glover were included in the second slate of candidates. They were not nominated from the floor.
