    Dodd Stadium College Baseball Classic to include UConn

    The Connecticut Tigers will host the inaugural Dodd Stadium College Baseball Classic from April 4-6.

    The event will feature three of the top programs in the Northeast - UConn, Stony Brook and Bryant - playing three games each in a round-robin format. UConn and Bryant played in the 2013 NCAA Division I tournament while Stony Brook made a run to the 2012 College World Series.

    Bryant and UConn will open the classic on Friday, April 4 at 3 p.m., while the Saturday schedule features Stony Brook-Bryant at noon and UConn-Stony Brook at 4 p.m., and Sunday features Bryant-Stony Brook at noon and UConn-Bryant at 4.

    "We are extremely excited to be able to host three of the region's top college baseball programs in one weekend this spring," Tigers vice president and general manager Eric Knighton said in a press release.

    Tickets for the event will go on sale Monday, March 3, at the Dodd Stadium box office or online at www.cttigers.com. Tickets will be available on a "Day Ticket" basis or an "All-Session Ticket" basis. A Day Ticket grants the holder access to all games held on a specific day, while the All-Session Ticket grants entrance to the entire weekend at the following prices: Adult Day Ticket ($10), Adult All-Session Ticket ($25), Student/Child/Senior Day Ticket ($7), Student/Child/Senior All-Session Ticket ($17); groups of 10 or more Day Ticket ($5).
