    Two classes graduate from Submarine school

    Groton — Two classes graduated from the Naval Submarine School Friday, March 7.

    Seventy sailors of “Class 14140,” USS Seafox (SS-402), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School.

    Seaman Apprentice Moses Morales, the class honorman, was meritoriously advanced. Seaman Michael Burns received the Submarine Heritage Award and Seaman Andrew Pethel received the Navy Core Values Award.

    Seaman Recruit Cody Reel, Seaman Apprentice Joel Brock, Seaman Apprentice Andrew Collins, Seaman Recruit Alexander Quesada, Seaman Scott Brady, Fireman Apprentice Drake Vega, Seaman Apprentice Kelly Ryan and Seaman Nathaniel Longbons were graduates with distinction.

    Twenty-one officers of “Class 13060” graduated from the Submarine Officer Advanced Course.

    Lt. Timothy Perkins received the L. Y. Spear Award. Lt. Justin Kirkpatrick received the David Lloyd Award for Excellence. Lt. Keith Turnbull received the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Award.
