North Stonington — Firefighters on Tuesday evening were at the scene of a fire at a two-story house on Cossaduck Hill Road, between Ledgen Wood Road and Northwest Corner Road, according to state police.

Details of the fire were not available Tuesday night, but the North Stonington department called on mutual aid from several surrounding towns. The area is not serviced by hydrants.

A stretch of Cossaduck Hill Road was temporarily closed. A Connecticut Light & Power truck was at the scene, as were police.

A neighbor said the house is currently unoccupied.

It was the second time in a week firefighters had been called out to the rural stretch.

Four people were displaced last Wednesday when a fire damaged a home at 256 Cossaduck Hill Road.
