    O'Neill center announces puppetry residency

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has partnered with The Jim Henson Foundation to support a new puppetry residency at the O'Neill's Waterford campus. The residency is intended to expand and broaden the work of the National Puppetry Conference.

Residencies may be between 2 to 4 weeks and can support up to 10 to 12 artists, and cover full room and board. A small grant will be awarded to the artists by the Jim Henson Foundation to help cover expenses. Residency space will be available starting in January 2015.

Interested puppeteers and puppetry companies are invited to submit letters of intent by mail through May 16 to The Jim Henson Foundation, attn: Puppetry Residency, 37-18 Northern Blvd., Suite 400, Long Island City, NY 11101.

Approximately five proposals will be chosen to submit full applications, with the final selection to be made in September.
