Waterford — Police are investigating complaints from residents about a suspicious vehicle canvassing two neighborhoods in town.

Police said residents from Meadow Drive called Thursday and residents from Maple Court called earlier this week to report that a "Ryder-style" box truck was driving in the neighborhood.

One each occasion, two men would exit the truck and start looking into cars and windows of homes, police said.

When confronted by neighbors, the men would say they are looking for phone books, and would leave the area.

Police are looking to identify these men, and are asking that residents report any suspicious activity in their neighborhood by calling police at (860) 442-9451.

Police said there have been no reported burglaries in the area.
