    Gray, Outlow, Craig named first team all-state in boys' basketball

    Five local high school boys' basketball players were named all-state by the Connecticut High School Coaches' Association, including three first team selections.

    Ledyard's Darnay Gray and Norwich Free Academy's Marcus Outlow were selected to the Class LL first team and Ledyard's DeAnte Bruton and New London's Collin Sawyer to the second team.

    Gray averaged 15.5 points and 7.9 rebounds, helping to lead Ledyard (21-5) to the semifinals of the Class LL state tournament, while Outlow averaged 17.6 points per game, including 62 3-pointers, as NFA went 19-7 with an Eastern Connecticut Conference tournament title.

    Waterford's Donny Craig was voted to the first team in Class M, also lifting the Lancers (18-8) to the state tournament semifinals. Craig averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals per game.

    Other members of the ECC who were honored were Woodstock Academy's Chris Lowry (Class L, first team), Bacon Academy's Aaron Lorenzo (Class M, first team), Plainfield's Ryan Pambuku (Class M first team) and Tourtellotte's Kaevon Safford (Class S, first team).
