U.S. Department of Energy to hold Hartford hearing on energy constraints in New England
The U.S. Department of Energy will host a public meeting in Hartford Monday to examine energy infrastructure constraints in New England and regional approaches to addressing them.
The meeting is part of a series taking place around the country to address energy opportunities and challenges, the DOE said in a statement. It will focus on infrastructure constraints for energy transmission, storage and distribution in New England. Representatives of New England governors will participate in a roundtable discussion of regional approaches for addressing regional energy constraints.
The hearing will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection headquarters, 79 Elm St
