    Reports: UConn, Ollie negotiating raise

Athletic director Warde Manuel stated during UConn's national championship run that coach Kevin Ollie earned a raise. Ollie is in the process of negotiating a new deal with UConn that could double his salary, according to an ESPN report.

In his second year as head coach, Ollie earned $1.25 million while leading the Huskies to a 32-8 record and the program's fourth national championship. He was given a five-year contract in December 2012.

The new deal could be worth as much as $2.6 million per year, ESPN reported.

Ollie is a hot name in the NBA coaching rumor mill. Several reports have listed Ollie as a potential candidate to fill the Los Angeles Lakers job that opened when Mike D'Antoni recently resigned. Ollie, who grew up in Los Angeles, is well respected in NBA circles. He spent 13 years in the pros as a point guard.

In other UConn news, sophomore reserve forward Leon Tolksdorf will to transfer to American University in Washington, D.C.

Tolksdorf, a native of Berlin, Germany, saw limited action for the Huskies, averaging 1.5 points and 0.8 rebounds in 5.3 minutes while appearing in 24 games this season.

"I have enjoyed two unforgettable years at UConn and I am so proud to have been part of the Husky family," Tolksdorf said in a released statement.
