Thanks to Mike DiMauro for his outstanding column on Donald Sterling.

Before I read it, I was starting to think I was the only one thinking "Have we all just lost our civil rights?" I wouldn't want anyone recording and playing publicly any argument my loving wife and I ever had. We sometimes say things we don't really mean and arguments sometimes bring out the worst in us. Could I have lost my job and gotten fined heavily by my employer?

It seems to me Sterling had his right to free speech and right to privacy violated in his own home. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds as people start backing down. Maybe it had to happen this way until things cool down and common sense prevails.
