State police said Saturday they are investigating a bomb threat that caused the evacuation of New London Superior Court on Broad Street for more than an hour on Friday.

No explosives were found by the state police K-9 team that searched the interior and exterior of the building after the threat was made at about 11:20 a.m., police said. No one was injured during the evacuation.

Police said the Major Crime Squad is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (860) 848-6500.

The courthouse reopened at about 12:45 p.m. Friday.
