    SITC seeks Nautilus-inspired art

In recognition of the Submarine USS Nautilus' 60th anniversary, the City of Groton's Summer in the City campaign is inviting artists to submit works that celebrate the USS Nautilus and its history in Groton.

All works are to be original and executed in any of the following media: oil, acrylic, pastel, print, photo, watercolor, sculpture or mixed media.

Two-dimensional work (including mat and frame if applicable) must be no smaller than 24 by 24 inches and no larger than 40 by 40 inches in any orientation. All work must be professionally presented and display-ready.

Arts works will be on display throughout September at various locations in Groton. Artists may bring their work to the City of Groton Municipal Building on Aug. 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to noon.
