    'STOIMEN REVISITED' OPENS AT PROVENANCE

In 2004, New London's Lyman Allyn Art Museum hosted an exhibition of works by the Bulgarian painter Stoimen Stoilov. It's the last time the artist's work has been on public display. It's good to know, then, that "Stoimen Revisited," a collection of his works, opens Saturday in New London's Provenance Center with an artist's reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. In addition to epic murals, "Stoimen Revisited" includes a series of etchings from "Echoes," an art folio book illustrating the poetry of the late Pulitzer Prize-winning writer William Meredith, of Montville. "Stoimen Revisited" runs through June 29, and the reception is free and open to the public. The Provenance Center is located at 151-191 State St., New London. Hours are 1-5:30 p.m. Wed.-Fri.; (860) 405-5887, provenancecenter.com.
