Norwich — One person sustained knife wounds and several people have been charged in connection with a large fight Thursday afternoon outside the Oakwood Knoll apartment complex.

Police responded to the area at about 4 p.m. for reports of a large disturbance. Officers arrived to find a large group of people and one victim suffering from non-life-threatening lacerations caused by a knife, according to city police Sgt. John Perry.

The victim was taken by ambulance for treatment at The William W. Backus Hospital.

Police said multiple arrests were made at the scene and more are expected. Names are not yet available.

The investigation is ongoing, Perry said, and further details are not yet being released.

What are your feelings about the swap of Taliban detainees for Army Sgt. Bergdahl?
It was the right thing to do. No soldier should be left behind. Period.
I thought our policy was to not negotiate with terrorist groups.
I initially supported the swap, but as more details have become available, I am not so sure now.
Absolutely not worth it, especially if the reports are true that soldiers died looking for Sergeant Bergdahl after senior American military officials say he wandered off his base.
