Robert and Gwen Collins of Ledyard are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth, to Adam Colby Wilson. Adam is the son of Cynthia and Edmund Butler of Randolph, Vt., and Joseph and Marilyn Wilson of Bristol.

Lauren graduated from Ledyard High School in 1999 and earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from Eastern Connecticut University in 2003. While working in medical research at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Lauren earned her master's degree in advanced practice registered nursing from Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professionals in 2009. She is employed as a nurse practitioner at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Adam graduated from Randolph-Union High School in 2000. He graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering in 2004 and received a master's degree in 2005. He obtained a master's degree in engineering management from Tufts University in 2012. He is employed as an electrical engineer in Cambridge, Mass.

A September 2014 wedding is planned.
