Norwich – The Fourth of July fireworks and all festival events have been postponed from Friday to Saturday night at Norwich Harbor because of anticipated bad weather Friday and Friday night.

The fireworks festival will run from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Howard T. Brown Memorial Park and at the Marina at American Wharf, with food, novelty vendors, children's activities and the fireworks display shortly after dark. Events are free.

There will be a rooftop barbecue and fireworks viewing from 6 to 11 p.m. atop the Market Street garage, hosted by the Harp & Dragon Irish Pub to raise money for the fireworks festival. Admission is $120 for a table of five, $20 for standing tickets.

Fireworks festival committee members and city leaders met this afternoon to ensure that all events and fireworks company, Atlas Pyrotechnics, could move the display to Saturday, Chairman Michael Franklin said.

Did the Supreme Court make the right call in its 5-4 Hobby Lobby ruling?
Yes, the court was right. Forcing the owners to provide insurance coverage for contraceptives they considered immoral violated their religious rights.
No, this was a terrible ruling. Women employees shouldn't be denied coverage for contraceptives because they happen to work for people who object to them.
I'm not sure how I feel. Both sides in the case make good points.
