The Day's Spring All-Area teams to appear beginning Friday

We celebrate the end of the 2013-14 school year by publishing The Day's nine Spring All-Area teams, which will begin running in Friday's edition. In each sport, The Day will name a Player of the Year, as well as an all-star team made up of athletes from our coverage area, all voted on by the newspaper's sports staff.

The schedule for publication of the teams is as follows: Friday, golf; Saturday, baseball; Sunday, softball; Monday, boys' tennis; Tuesday, girls' tennis; Wednesday, boys' track & field; Thursday, girls' track & field; Friday, July 18, boys' lacrosse; Saturday, July 19, girls' lacrosse.

Congratulations to all the athletes we've covered throughout the spring for their many noteworthy performances and thank you to the athletes of the year who so willingly participated in our recent photo sessions.
