Avery-Copp House hosts 'Downton Abbey' teas

The Avery-Copp House will host a series of English "Downton Abbey" teas in the front parlor of the Victorian house at 154 Thames St., Groton. The teas, which include desserts, start at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19. The next available tea will take place Wednesday, July 23, at 6 p.m.

Guests are invited to dress up in period fashion and try their skill at a "Downton Abbey"-inspired trivia game. Guests also will be given a guided tour of the servants' quarters and kitchen.
