It’s all about variety at United Theatre

The United Theatre in Westerly presents the Vaudeville Variety Show on Friday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m. Acts from across Rhode Island will perform an evening of specialty acts celebrating the roaring '20s.

The Chifferobe Tropigals of Providence will headline and perform a series of dance numbers inspired by the vaudeville and cinema history of the United Theatre. Music will be provided by Michael Chicoria on ragtime piano and vocalists David DeAngelis, the Flav Martin Trio and the Q Branch Barbershop Quartet. Additional acts will include circus performer Shane Miclon and Tom Persinos on accordion.

Tickets are free and limited to two per person and will be distributed via lottery. To enter the lottery, call (401) 315-2475 Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15 and 16, between 10 a.m. and noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Winners will be contacted Friday, July 18. The event also will be streamed live at http://new.livestream.com/unitedtheatre.
