Justin Timberlake sings at Mohegan Sun
Justin Timberlake comes to Mohegan Sun Arena for a concert on Friday ... and then returns to do the same on Dec. 13.
Much better than the usual two-night stand that happens one night after the next, right? There's time for local fans to build up that anticipation all over again - and it'll be their little JT Christmas gift.
These Sun stints are part of a huge world tour Timberlake has been doing since Nov. 6 in support of his "20/20 Experience" albums. Concert reviews have been admiring, and why shouldn't they be? Timberlake is arguably the best all-around entertainer out there these days. Springsteen puts on a hell of a show, sure, but I can't picture him being outrageously hilarious while dancing around wearing a coffee cup as a crazed street performer on "Saturday Night Live." Sorry, Boss.
And, while he's not quite to Boss marathon levels, Timberlake doesn't stint on stage time. He's been doing run 2-1/2-plus hour concerts, with an intermission, that showcase his own hits ("Suit & Tie," "SexyBack," "Mirrors") and some fun covers (a little Elvis with "Heartbreak Hotel" and a little Bell Biv DeVoe with "Poison").
