Two Coast Guard Academy cadets snap photos during an exercise Monday as rescue swimmer AST2 Mike Linehan jumps from an H-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Cape Cod into the Thames River off Jacob's Rock at the academy. The exercise was held for students visiting as part of the Academy Introductory Mission (AIM), a program for high school juniors to spend a week getting a taste of cadet life. The helicopter was scheduled to be a static display, but at the last minute arrangements were made for a 45-foot response boat to take part in a demonstration that included basket lifts and the deployment of the swimmer.
