Sue Menhart Band plays Live Lunch Break

It's been fun to watch our "Live Lunch Break" concert series evolve from our makeshift studio in an abandoned office at The Day to a must-attend outdoor ritual each Thursday in New London's Hygienic Art Park.

Indeed, where once the size of the crowd often depended on how many band family members might show up, the Lunch Break shows now attract a wide variety of local citizens drawn by a love of good music, the glorious park itself - and of course the fine culinary offerings on sale from Italian Express.

At noon today, the Sue Menhart Band performs. They're a tremendous blues-rock outfit whose rehearsal room can't possibly contain all of the Whalie awards they've won, and Menhart's powerhouse voice is matched only by her songwriting and riveting stage presence.
