This week at the O'Neill
The O'Neill's Cabaret & Performance Conference is in full swing this week. All performances listed below are at 8 p.m. at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, 305 Great Neck Road, Waterford, and tickets are $35. Call (860) 443-1238.
Also, there are free open mic nights at Blue Gene's Pub after regular performances tonight through Saturday and then Tuesday, July 31, and Aug. 1.
Tonight: Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch
Caruso and Stritch hold court at Bemelman's Bar at the Carlyle Hotel in New York, as well as the weekly Cast Party at Birdland.
Friday: Mimi Hines
Hines replaced Barbra Streisand on Broadway in "Funny Girl" and starred in tours of such shows as "I Do! I Do!" and "Sugar Babies." She appeared on TV shows as far back as "The Jack Paar Show" and "The Ed Sullivan Show."
Saturday: Susie Mosher and the New Faces of 2014
Sunday: The Man in the Long Black Coat: Barb Jungr sings Bob Dylan
Tuesday: The Sondheim Projrect - An evening with original Sondheim cast members Ann Morrison, Pamela Myers and Chip Zien, including some stories and recreations of original songs from "Company," "Into the Woods" and "Merrily We Roll Along."
Wednesday: "The Music of Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac: Cabaret Junior Fellows"
