Today in New London's gorgeous Hygienic Art Park, your noontime food and drink experience will be better than anything ever before - all because you've joined other clever citizens and are chowing down to the wonderful sounds of The Hoolios.

For, indeed, The Hoolios will be featured in the latest edition of The Day's Live Lunch Break concert series. Along with guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Jim Carpenter, the band includes multi-instrumentalist Sandman Allen, drummer Ronnie Lewis, keyboardist Mike Derry and bassist Mike Palazzolo. Regional folks know this as one of the best musical units in New England. Expect material from consistently fine albums like "The Dream," "Silver Triangle" and "Rosalie," and it's also true Carpenter has been ensconced in his home studio working on new material. Might there be a sampling?

Oh, and, as always, perfect summer culinary fare will be available from New London's Italian Express. And the weather folks promise a glorious day.
