Mr. William Klingsporn and Ms. Jan Klingsporn of Brenham, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Kay, to Grant Alan Stuart, son of Attorney Peter and Karin Stuart of Mystic.

Ms. Klingsporn graduated with a bachelor of science degree in interior design from Texas Tech University. She currently works as a project manager with the Knoll dealership, the OFIS, in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Stuart earned his bachelor of arts degree in physics from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vt. Upon graduation from Middlebury, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study physical oceanography at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen, Norway. He received a master's degree in marine science from the University of Massachusetts. Currently, he is a metocean systems manager with Fugro Global Environmental and Ocean Sciences (GEOS) Inc., an international commercial oceanographic company with offices in Houston.

A November wedding is planned.
