Case to remain at St. Bernard

St. Bernard School athletic director Brendan Case, offered a similar position at Westhill High School last week, announced Monday that he has turned the job down and will remain in his current position.

"Westhill High School in Stamford had reached out to me regarding my interest in the athletic director position at their school,'' Case said in a statement. "I had to consider an attractive offer from them to serve as their next athletic director. Ultimately, travel time, relocation, and other personal considerations led me to respectfully decline their offer. I want to thank the Westhill High School administration for their interest.

"I am looking forward to serving as the athletic director at Saint Bernard, and have been humbled by the support I have received from the student-athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators.''

Case has been St. Bernard's AD since 2011 and has also served as the tennis coach at St. Bernard. Prior to that, he was an assistant football and boys' basketball coach at Ledyard High School - his alma mater - and was the Colonels' interim varsity boys' basketball coach during the 2010-11 season.
