Westerly resident and Mystic native Will Evans is today's musical guest in The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concert series. The show takes place at noon in New London's Hygienic Art Park.

Evans, the longtime vocalist/drummer for the nationally renowned alt-rock Barefoot Truth, has embarked on a solo career now that the band's on presumably permanent hiatus. His debut album, "Wishin' Well," came out in 2013 and is clustered with melodic and infectious acoustic rock. In fact, a standout cut from the record, "Life is a Photograph," was selected as a national finalist in Guitar Center's prestigious Singer-Songwriter III competition.

As always, sumptuous food is available for sale from Italian Express, and beer and wine can be purchased.
