UConn men sign for series with Ohio State, Arizona

UConn has agreed to play a home-and-home men's basketball series with Ohio State and Arizona.

The Huskies will host Ohio State in December, 2015, and visit Columbus in December, 2017.

They will travel to Arizona during the 2017-18 season and host the Wildcats in 2018-19. Both games are tentatively scheduled for December.

In the series history, UConn is 2-3 versus Ohio State, last playing in the 1999 NCAA national semifinals in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Huskies won 64-58 and went on to shock Duke to win the program's first national championship. Their other win also was memorable, coming in the 1988 NIT Championship game at Madison Square Garden.

UConn has never lost to Pac-12 foe Arizona, going 5-0 including posting a 65-63 decision in the 2011 NCAA West Regional Championship in Anaheim, Calif. The Huskies ended up beating Butler in Houston for the program's third national title.
