On Sept. 13, Democrats have a choice for who will be their nominees for the Guilford Board of Education in the general election. The democratic process, through the caucus, resulted in a slate of endorsed candidates who are impressive individually and who will be effective as a team. The process of nominating candidates can be trying, particularly during a time of change, but this process is in place for good reason: to keep our volunteer boards filled with the best available candidates.

Guilford's children, from the most challenged to the highest performing, will be most fortunate to have Bill Bloss, Barbara Dudley, Sean Scanlon, and Katie Balestracci working on their behalf. I encourage your readers to join me in voting Row A on Sept. 13.
