Prince Royce rolls into Mohegan Sun

You can rest assured I'LL never forget it. The year was 2011 and People en Espanol published their annual 50 Most Beautiful People issue. I'd had it on good insider information that I was a shoo-in to make the list.

At the last minute, though, the magazine realized I'm not of Spanish descent and, instead, selected the very fine Bachata singer Prince Royce in my place.

    I'm still bitter.

Don't let that stop you, though, from seeing Prince Royce when he headlines the Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday. All three of his CDs - "Prince Royce," "Phase II" and "Soy El Mismo" - have hit number one on the Billboard Latin charts, and his floating-cloud tenor and earnest love-pop resonate with the Young and Romantic in very big fashion. Oh, and as with what I like to call the 50 Most Beautiful Fiasco, the Prince is easy on the eyes.

    - RICK KOSTER

    Prince Royce, 8 p.m. Sunday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $35, $65; mohegansun.com.
