The Village Jammers play Live Lunch Break
Music is a capricious mistress.
When Curtiss Thompson of the very fine acoustic group The Village Jammers accidentally sent a band link to a variety of concert series sites, he got a call that sent VJ scurrying to the Midwest on a spur-of-the-moment junket. Excellent!
After wildly successful dates in Cleveland, Chicago and Downers Grove, IL, the boys are back home in Stonington - at least until noon today when they perform at The Day's Live Lunch Break concert series in New London's Hygienic Art Park. In addition to their hooky folk/country-rock/bluegrass tunes, the Village Jammers have in recent years experimented beautifully with Cuban and tropical influences. The results are amazing.
As always, sumptuous food from Italian Express will be available for sale.
