If you can read, you've probably figured out we live in a region blessed with an expansive batch of fine writers.

In that spirit, the Second Annual Friends of the Mystic & Noank Library Local Authors Expo takes place Saturday outdoors on the library's grounds. The authors represent numerous categories of fiction and nonfiction and write for children and adults.

Participants include Samuel Baez, Jean Baur, Nancy D. Butler, Ruth Crocker, Marilyn Davis, Michael de Angeli, Ann Sloan Devlin, Ted Dubay, Jennifer Emerson, Mary-Anne Hall, Mary Hendrickson, Pat Kelbaugh, Susan Kietzman, Deborah Lennon, Michael Marciano, Janina Nawarskas, Joan Nelson, Kathleen O'Beirne, Tish Rabe, Jeffrey Richards, Patricia Stamm, Christine Sylvester, Tommy Thomason, Douglas Thompson, Michelle Vigue, Julie Wakely, Richard King and Leslie Woods.

All the writers will be available to discuss their work, and most will have books available for purchase and signing.
