Live Lunch Break welcomes Kala Farnham

    Kala Farnham

Labor Day's in the rear view mirror but, buoyed by the success of The Day's summer Live Lunch Break concert series taking place at noon each Thursday in New London's gorgeous Hygienic Art Park, we're trusting the nice weather to hold - and will continue to rocket onward!

Today, then, we present pianist/singer/songwriter Kala Farnham. A gifted and sensitive talent who was playing Chopin nocturnes by 7, Farnham grew up inspired by artists like Carole King, Elton John, Tori Amos and Billy Joel. As her own compositional skills evolved, Farnham began to record and release her own albums including 2011's "The Lotus Effect" and, earlier this year, "Anahata: Wake Up Your Heart."

As always, scrumptious noontime fare will be available from New London's Italian Express and, if there should be meteorological issues, the show will be moved inside the Telegraph Record Store at 19 Golden St.
