Live Lunch Break Flashback - Kala Farnham

Admit it: you're feeling a little peevish because you missed "Live Lunch Break" on Thursday in New London's Hygienic Art Park when Danielson singer-songwriter Kala Farnham entertained. A wonderful pianist and melodicist, Farnham played eight songs, most of which were culled from her recent CD called "Anahata: Wake Up Your Heart."

But don't feel maudlin if you weren't there. We archive all "Live Lunch Break" episodes on theday.com.

Here are fun things to look for and learn about in Farnham's set and in conversation with host Rick Koster:

    • How Farnham's experiences playing classical music and working in musical theater helped shape and diversify her pop songs.

    • What, exactly, is "Anahata" and what does it mean?

    • Why Farnham will not eat garlic before a gig - even if she's playing at a garlic festival.
