    Enoch commits to UConn

UConn received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-10 power forward Steven Enoch of Norwalk on Saturday night.

Enoch told the UConn coaching staff during his official visit this weekend and announced his decision on Twitter. He attended the UConn football game with the men’s basketball team on Saturday.

As a junior, Enoch averaged 14.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.4 blocks at Norwalk High School.

Enoch’s stock has risen over the last several months. He gained attention on the AAU circuit playing for the High Rise Team Up program.

Rhode Island, Virginia Commonwealth, Boston College and Providence were some of the teams that showed interest in Enoch.

Enoch, who grew up a Husky fan, called UConn his dream school during the recruiting process. He made an unofficial visit to Storrs in late June.

He’s attending St. Thomas More in Oakdale this school year. He joins guard Jalen Adams in UConn’s Class of 2015 recruits.
