Antiques Vehicle Show happens Sunday at Mystic Seaport

Upwards of 100 pre-1930 vehicles - cars, yes, but also trucks and motorcycles - will roll into Mystic Seaport on Sunday for the 17th annual Antique Vehicle Show.

The public can admire the buffed-and-polished machines and learn about each one by chatting with the exhibitors. And, yes, visitors might be able to even take a free ride in one of the antique autos.

The featured vehicle this year is a 1929 Mack Model AB Stake Body, which was restored by its owner, Paul W. Lavallee of North Smithfield, Connecticut.

The day culminates with the Grand Parade of Vehicles. At 4 p.m., the classics motor around the seaport's Village Green.

The "By Land and By Sea" that's part of the show's name refers to the fact that these vehicles helped transport commerce from the land to the sea in the early 1900s.
