Physicians affiliated with Lawrence + Memorial and Westerly hospitals have been named “Top Docs” in Connecticut and Rhode Island Monthly magazines’ annual surveys.

“Each year, it’s a source of pride to see so many of our doctors represented on the list,” Dr. Oliver Mayorga, L+M’s chief medical officer, said. “We commend this year’s honorees. These outstanding doctors are examples of what I believe all our employees strive to give our patients ― quality care and excellence.”

Connecticut magazine’s “Top Docs’ list is compiled each year after 5,000 questionnaires are sent to physicians across Connecticut asking them to name specialists they’d refer a loved one to for expert care. The top vote-getters make up the final list.

The Rhode Island Monthly list highlights physicians nominated and voted on by their peers.

This year’s L+M honorees are: Mary Ann Bentz, dermatology; Joseph Brito, urology; Mical Campbell, gastroenterology; Francis Falck, ophthalmology; Jon Gaudio, cardiovascular disease; Alan Greenwald, gastroenterology; Christopher Hutchins, orthopedic surgery; Amzad Khan, gastroenterology; Harry Ma, vascular surgery; Thomas Peter, nephrology; Fred Santoro, pediatrics; Eugene Sapozhnikov, gastroenterology; and Timothy Tran, urology.

Westerly Hospital’s honorees are: Wendy Silversmith, rheumatology; E. Bradley Miller, urology; Joseph Renzulli, urology; and Eric Cohen, orthopedic surgery.
