Norwich Bulletin publisher named The Day's chief financial officer

New London — Nadine McBride, president and publisher of The Bulletin of Norwich, will become chief financial officer of The Day, Timothy C. Dwyer, Day president and publisher, announced Friday.

McBride, who will assume her new position Sept. 23, will continue at The Bulletin until Sept. 20, the Norwich paper reported.

“Nadine will be a strong addition to our leadership team and a key contributor to carrying out our five-year plan, which we see as a pathway to a successful future,” Dwyer said in an email to The Day’s staff.

In addition to overseeing The Day’s finance division, McBride will direct the distribution, circulation and information technology divisions.

McBride, 66, of Norwich, has been publisher of The Bulletin since 2014, having previously served as controller and director of operations. She joined the Norwich paper in 2008. She previously served as director of finance for Saint Bernard School in Montville and as controller for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe. She was a senior financial analyst and treasurer for Equator Bank in Hartford, a division of HSBC.

McBride has served on the board of directors of the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as president of the Tommy Toy Fund, a charity founded by The Bulletin.

A Massachusetts native, McBride graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., and has a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut.

Amy Delmonte has served as The Day’s acting CFO since the departure earlier this year of Debra Davidowsky.
