Mohegan Holding Co. opening third Arooga's in Attleboro, Mass.

The Mohegan Holding Co., the Mohegan Tribe’s nongaming business arm, will open its third Arooga’s Grille House and Sports Bar next week in Attleboro, Mass.

Mohegan Holding forged a franchise agreement with Arooga’s, a central Pennsylvania-based restaurant chain, in May 2014, announcing plans to eventually roll out 15 Arooga’s restaurants in New England. It opened its first franchise nearly two years ago adjacent to Mohegan Sun, the Mohegans’ flagship casino, and opened its second last year in Warwick, R.I.

The Attleboro restaurant, set to open Oct. 24, will provide 75 to 100 jobs, the partners announced in a press release.

In addition to restaurant franchises, Mohegan Holding has interests in sustainable energy resources and manufacturing, and office digital solutions. Arooga’s opened its first restaurant in Harrisburg, Pa., in 2008 and began franchising in 2014. In addition to 10 corporate locations in Central Pennsylvania, it has four franchise locations and others in development in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
