    H.S. roundup: Hall, Bell lead Stonington past Killingly

    Killingly — Kate Hall scored 22 points as Stonington beat Killingly 47-29 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II girls' basketball game on Sunday.

    Aliza Bell had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Miranda Arruda had five rebounds, five steals and four assists for Stonington (6-2, 2-0). Trinity Angel scored 10 points and Julia Trafaconda had 10 rebounds for Killingly (2-5, 0-2).

    Hockey

    • The Redhawks snapped their four-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over Bolton/Coventry/Rockville on Saturday night. Andrew Bannon and Stephen Turchetta had two goals each, Brayden LoVetere had a pair of assists and Specner Flynn made 31 saves for the Redhawks (2-5). Ken Beguhl had a goal and Ryan LoVetere, Dylan Heald and Colin Larkin had assist for the Redhawks. Max Sendley scored both goals for BCR (0-5).

    • The Eastern CT Eagles suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Woodstock Academy 5-4 on Saturday night. Ryan Huta scored twice, Rylin Fowler made 27 saves, Kyle Jacobson and Evan Tower had a goal and an assist each and Kevin Close had an assist for the Eagles (4-1). Woodstock (1-2) is the defending CIAC Division III champion and now plays in Division II.
