New London — The New London County Property Owners Association will hold an informational meeting on Section 8 rentals Monday in connection with the future relocation of the 124 families from the federally subsidized Thames River Apartments.

The event is aimed at landlords, realtors and property managers and will offer details of the Section 8 vouchers expected to be issued to the Thames River Apartment residents, according to an online announcement about the event.

Guests expected to attend are New London Mayor Michael Passero; New London Housing Authority Executive Director Roy Boling; Thames Valley Council for Community Action's Director of Housing Jon-Paul Mandelburg, and Avalon LeBlanc, Section 8 program manager for the TVCCA.

The event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Public Library of New London.
