Great white shark expert to speak at Mystic Aquarium Tuesday
Mystic _ Mystic Aquarium Scientist-in-Residence, Gregory Skomal, will discuss his new research on great white sharks on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the aquarium.
Skomal, who is often quoted in media reports about great white sharks along the Cape Cod shoreline each summer, will appear as part of the aquarium’s Conservation in Action speaker series.
Skomal, who heads the Massachusetts Shark Research Program (MSRP) and is a senior fisheries scientist with Massachusetts Marine Fisheries, will present new insights into the ecology of the great white shark in the North Atlantic and how new technology is providing insight into the elusive species.
