Book sale held at Bill Library in Ledyard

Ledyard — The Friends of the Ledyard Libraries is holding its annual Books and More Sale at the Bill Library, 718 Colonel Ledyard Highway, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Along with books, the event includes 70 silent auction items, a bake sale and a craft sale. Complimentary apple cider and candy canes will be provided.

All proceeds support the Bill and Gales Ferry libraries with programs, equipment, museum passes and special projects.

The Town of Ledyard recently announced that, amid budget cuts, it would be scaling back staff and hours at both libraries.
