Windham — An 18-year-old Windham woman was taken to Hartford Hospital with a suspected serious injury after she was ejected from her car on Plains Road early Saturday, police said.

According to the police report, Shania Slyman of 11 Cracow Ave. was driving westbound on Plains Road and twice veered to the right onto a snow embankment. She then drove back into the westbound lane of Plains Road and traveled west before driving into the driveway at 338 Plains Road.

Police said she struck a tree stump as she drove through the property and the car rolled onto its roof before stopping in a wooded area of the property. She was ejected from the car and taken by Life Star helicopter to the hospital.

Police said the accident, which occurred at 12:44 a.m., is under investigation.
