Land trust holds family-friendly kayak regatta Sunday in Old Lyme

The Old Lyme Land Trust will hold its fifth annual kayak regatta at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, launching from the Pilgrim Landing boat launch on Route 156.

The regatta, led by Fred Fenton, explores Lord Cove, Goose Island and Whaleback Point, where walkers are invited to join via the trail on Coult Lane. The trip takes about three hours, and a map of the route is available at oldlymelandtrust.org.

The family-friendly event will be held rain or shine. Admission is free, though donations are accepted for the land trust. For more information, visit the land trust website or send an email to fredfenton16@gmail.com.
